At Mission Pictures, we are more than just videographers--we give you a complete package that can make a great video a valuable part of your overall mission. Our specialty is finding the heart of your story and then scaling to the needs and resources of your non-profit or company. Based in San Francisco's Mission neighborhood, we're tapped into the cutting edge of technology and good works. We don't just bring our creativity and experience in video to bear, but also our knowledge of and passion for the non-profit and sustainability sectors. Our experience producing and distributing a feature documentary ("Girls Rock!") about a nonprofit that played theatrically in over 90 cities gives us an exciting perspective on moving audiences to action.
We can
make everything from a quick video for a specific event up to a
longer-term documentary that includes big picture and strategic
consultation with a non-profit assessment consultant, multiple shoots
and multiple deliverables. We have many unique assets, like our own
in-house composer so your piece will have a unique power. There's
nothing quite like Mission Pictures
for serving your mission.

As Producer, Co-Director and Editor on "Girls Rock!", Arne entered the world of filmmaking and never turned back. Arne started by writing the screenplay for Shane King's award-winning "Park Files", a film for kids about native plant restoration, and has continued to perform his unique storytelling magic as Mission Pictures' primary editor and story consultant. He's found the heart of stories as diverse as a feature documentary about the Khemer Rouge and a short video about gang kids in the wilderness. Well-versed in all of the technical and aesthetic power of post-production, Arne provides a steady hand and penetrating insight to projects of all sizes.

Dr. Kubo often works with our clients to create a graphical theory of change that hones their strategy to achieve impact with painstaking specificity. She helps them focus on their core stories and mission in a way that will make the video both a clear documentation of a nonprofit's success, and a key part of their growth strategy. Dr. Kubo has a doctorate in child and adolescent development from the Stanford School of Education and has been the lead evaluator for the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth, and Families comprehensive outcomes-based evaluation, led the Department’s citywide strategic planning efforts for children, youth, and families through the Mayor’s Children’s Cabinet and has worked with the Hewlett Foundation as a lead evaluator for their Neighborhood Improvement Initiative. She now works through her own company, See Change, with an emphasis in youth development, girls’ development, early childhood, school reform, and community development.
